Fresh Perspectives
Do you worry what people will think of your photos?
Are you feeling pressured to photograph a certain way—to always improve, always get it right? Do you find yourself second-guessing, worrying about judgment? What if, instead, you could rediscover creative freedom and enjoy your camera again?
Step outside yourself
This two-week guided online workshop helps you reclaim the fun in photography, releasing you from fear and self-doubt.
How it works
Instead of photographing as yourself, you’ll step into the shoes of a fictional alter ego—someone we’ll create together in the first session, shaping how you see and shoot for the next two weeks. By photographing as someone else, you’ll experience creative freedom—any mistakes or judgments belong to your alter ego, not you.
“The workshop was absolutely brilliant and so much fun”
The details
Live online session 1: we explore alter egos, why they work and how to create one personal to you that will push your creativity and confidence in the right direction. You will leave with a fully developed character and a clear plan for the next two weeks.
Two weeks of self-guided photography: you will receive structured daily prompts and exercises to help you photograph in character.
Live online session 2: we reconvene to share work, discuss what has been unlocked in your photography and make individual plans for the future.

FAQ
Do I need to shoot on manual? No: this course is about creative exploration, not technical mastery. It’s suitable for anyone with an interest in photography.
Do I have to share my alter ego’s work? No, although you are encouraged to. The focus is on your experience and growth, not the work you produce.
What time commitment is required? The daily exercises take as little as 5-15 minutes but you can spend much longer if you wish.
What if I feel silly? You are in control of how deep you go into your alter ego and you don’t need to share anything.
