Once you’ve found your feet in Lightroom, the next question is always the same: which adjustments, in what order, and how far? Without an answer, editing stays a bit of a guess; nudge a slider, see what happens, hope for the best. It works sometimes, and leaves you unsure why.
This 3-hour workshop replaces the guessing with a routine. In the first half I’ll demonstrate on screen, working through the edits that do the heavy lifting (light, tone and colour) in a sensible order you can follow every time. After a short break, it’s over to your questions, so you can bring your own sticking points and we’ll work through them together.
By the end you’ll have a simple, repeatable sequence you can apply to any photo, so good results stop feeling like luck.
This is for you if you understand the basics of Lightroom Classic and now want your editing to feel deliberate rather than hit-and-miss.
How the workshop runs
6–7:30pm · Watch it done
I demonstrate on screen, working through a photo in a sensible order. We look at the edits that do the heavy lifting: light, tone and colour, building a routine you can follow every time.
7:45–9pm · Your questions
Then it opens up; Q&A and clarifications. You can bring your own photos and sticking points and we’ll work through them together.
Recorded
Every session is recorded, and the recording is yours to keep so you can watch it back whenever you like and work through the edits at your own pace.
All the sessions run online on Zoom.
You’ll need a stable internet connection.
By the end of the workshop you’ll be able to say:

✓ I can rescue a photo that’s too dark, too flat, or the wrong colour.
✓ I have an editing routine I can repeat comfortably.

Have you got Lightroom Classic?
Confusingly, there are two different apps called Lightroom, and this workshop is for Lightroom Classic: the fuller desktop version most keen photographers use.
It’s quick to check which one you’ve got. Open the Lightroom and look along the top. If you see a row of named modules – Library, Develop, Map, Print – you’re in Lightroom Classic, and you’re in exactly the right place. If instead you see a simpler, cloud-based layout with no modules – just your photos and an Edit panel – that’s the newer app (Lightroom, sometimes called Lightroom CC), which works quite differently. This course is NOT for you if you have the cloud-based Lightroom.
